About the Researcher

My name is Sam Brady-Myerov, and I am a senior at Washington University in St. Louis, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Political Science. I began researching azulejos in 2023 after receiving a grant to study art and language in Lisbon, Portugal. Since then, my research has taken me back to Lisbon, across Portugal, and to the Azores, Seville, São Paulo, Harvard University in Boston, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Under the guidance of Betha Whitlow, I developed this digital archive as a companion to my written thesis. This fall, I will also continue my studies in art history and digital methods at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I will pursue a Master of Science in Architecture Studies (SMArchS) through the History, Theory, and Criticism program.

Feel free to reach out using the contact information below—and I hope you enjoy exploring the archive!
